Principal's Message
"Growing and Learning Together "
Seville Primary School is a truly unique and beautiful school. Situated at the top of the hill at the centre of the Seville Township, we have amazing views of the surrounding valley farmlands and ranges. Our school grounds feel like a paddock too, with a large 5 acres of space for the students to enjoy. Together with numerous playgrounds, basketball courts, oval and shaded grass areas, we build a love of the outdoors and encourage an active lifestyle, which is reflective in our school’s many sporting achievements.
Our school enjoys a rich history of 130+ years serving the local community. We believe it is important to remember our past, including our Wurundjeri heritage, while looking to our students’ future. Our strong community ties with local families, businesses and sporting clubs help us develop community-minded citizens that benefit from many real-world learning experiences.
The Seville Primary School community is made up of an amazing group of family and friends of the school. With so many friendly and eager people supporting our school, we are able to complete projects that ensure our learning spaces are engaging for our students and vast grounds are kept neat and safe for them to play on.
Likewise, we have amazing staff that are dedicated to providing learning opportunities that are tailored to individual students’ needs. Whether it be literacy, numeracy or our integrated curriculum, we empower our students to strive for new knowledge and take ownership of their own learning goals. We provide resources and technologies that allow constant opportunities for learning growth. We grow curious learners and problem solvers that will help shape our future.
Our specialist program includes Physical Education, Art, Science and Auslan. We are particularly proud of our Auslan program, which encourages signing as a second language from Foundation through to Year 6. Our students enjoy weekly sessions in our outdoor vegetable garden, where they grow and nurture vegetables and plants that will be used for cooking in our school kitchen.
I can guarantee that any child who becomes a part of our school community will have their academic, social and emotional qualities catered for individually. We care for the whole child at Seville Primary School and take great pride in seeing our students grow into respectful and resilient life-long learners. As our motto goes, we are ‘Growing and Learning Together’.
