"Growing and Learning Together "

A more appropriate motto for a school and teacher would be hard to find.

I have been privileged to have been in education for the best part of 28 years and can honestly say that I am yet to feel tired or bored with my job. I have tried to make it my goal in teaching to have a significant impact on at least one child for each of my teaching years (as a minimum). If I can achieve this then I think that after 30 years the 30 children I have significantly impacted on will be the foundations of an enormous pyramid of positive impact on those around them. This is the enormous responsibility that all teachers hold – the development of  future Australia.

At Seville Primary School we are working towards a much closer relationship with our families and our community. We have developed a whole school master plan for the development of the school grounds that will help to ensure that the positive student orientated curriculum is implemented in a safe, secure and attractive    environment. Our community has a clear vision to work towards over the next ten years.

Our school programs are enriched with a whole school music program which is  complimented by our individual instrumental programs in keyboard and guitar. Our second language of study, other than English, is Auslan – Australian Sign Language for the Deaf. We also have enriched our Health and Physical Education Program by running a whole school program in Fitness expertly tailored to the needs of our students by a qualified fitness instructor.

With a fantastic mix of youth and experience on our staff, Seville Primary School is suitably equipped to help us to live our motto - Growing and Learning Together.

Our parent group takes this motto from within our school and out into our community. This is very evident with the establishment of our Parent Involvement Group. They are affectionately known as the Seville PIG’s holding informal social gatherings as well as inviting formal parent meetings into their “PIG Pen”.

Our school values of Learning, Respect, Safety, Having Fun, Doing Our Best and Friendship are vital components of all development at our school.

Our weekly student awards recognize these values in our students and acknowledge them.

We would love any interested members of the community to visit our school to experience the wonderful learning environment that we provide for our families and students.
